The primary aim of the Department of Distributed Systems (MTA SZTAKI DSD) is the research and development of distributed software systems including WWW information services, groupware applications, digital library systems, audio/video conferencing environments. The Department has been participating in several EU Framework R&D projects (FP4-7), and in many others supported by Hungarian national funds. Also, we do reseach in some industrial projects. You may find the overview of our past and ongoing projects in this section.

Specialized in web applications, we develop state-of-the-art tools for enhancing your productivity. Our services include a family of fast and user friendly online dictionaries (with Hungary's most popular English-Hungarian dictionary being its flagship), an easily customizable, yet powerful, voting system, a plagiarism search tool, and a networked audiovisual archiving and exchange system.
