Virtual Reality Model of an Underground Metro Station

1997

A virtual reality model of one of the stations of the planned 4th underground metro line in Budapest is created. The model is based on a real 2D plan.

You can walk in the scene freely, or you can follow the sequence of predefined viewpoints which show the entire station, including a lift facility for the handicap as well.

The model is placed into a partial sketch of the city map.

3D Visualization of Digital Library Content Clusters

1997

Visualization experiments were carried out with the aim of giving visible contextual information of a document pool. István Zsámboki in his master thesis examined and developed several algorithms to place the documents in a 3D virtual space where physical distances and/or other properties represent relations between them or to certain topics. These algorithms generate VRML 2.0 output.

Our aim was the visualization of distributed digital libraries cluster structures.

The Visualization of the Motion of Human Leg Bones During a Step

1997

A 3D animation of the human leg bones during a single step is provided. The sequence demonstrates the behaviour of the bones, including some important scientific discoveries, e.g. a mechanism that makes the skeletal structure more stable during a critical phase. Project is led by M.D. Judit G. Farkas (orthoped-traumatologist) of the Central Hospital of the Hungarian Railways.
